At Hexter, the Orff Schulwerk approach to music is used in which we sing, chant rhymes, clap, dance and play instruments. In 3rd-5th grade, students may elect to be in the orchestra and in 4th grade they may try out for the Hexter Choir.
ChoirThe Hexter Choir is an award-winning group for fourth and fifth graders and performs at Hexter, the Casa Linda Tree-Lighting, Northpark and Sandy Lake contest. Many Hexter Choir Students also participate in the Dallas Children's Chorus summer camp.
